Colour Orange
Can you find anything at home or in school this colour. If so bring in to our show and tell table. Look at the different shades of orange too.
Shape Circle
During this settling in period, September and October, we will be looking at the theme ‘all about me’. We will look at friendships, family, important people in your life, favourite things, where you live etc.
Settling in
We hope you are all enjoying your first experiences of nursery school – finding your way around the school, playing with new toys, meeting new friends and getting to know the staff.
Please remember…
School funds should be paid in a named purse. Weekly £4 or 3 x termly £50 or yearly £150 whichever is more convenient.
Encourage your child to look after their library book and bags. If library books/bags are lost during the term parents will be required to pay £3 to school for a replacement. The children will help to choose their own books with an adult (staff member or parent volunteer).
Please label all clothes, jumpers, coats, hats etc with your child’s name.
We have great outdoor play facilities, in order for the children to benefit fully please ensure they have warm outdoor clothes with them at all times.
Remember to check your post box every day – creative artwork, letters to parents, monthly newsletters and purses will be post in here.
Each month/six weeks a favourite story will be illustrated using a variety of resources – toys, artwork, books, music and drama. Enjoy these resources with the children, they’re there for you to play with so have fun!!!
This month’s story is the wonderful ‘Owl Babies’.
Additional Needs
Each school must have in place a record of children who are experiencing any difficulties which may effect their education. Such difficulties large or small, may include: a physical difficulty, sight, hearing or speech difficulty, and emotional and behavioural problems. If you/we do not think your child is performing to the best of their ability Mrs Marshall/Miss Duddy will have a chat with you and decide how best to improve the situation. However it is our policy (with parental permission) to refer children as early as possible to ensure your child gets the best start possible.
